Show and Tell Friday..# 15

Show and TellI am sharing with all of you one of my Crepe Myrtle trees . I have three trees like this in my front yard..Crepe Myrtle trees are so hardy and love full sun. They bloom every summer and the colors of the blossoms are great.. in the winter my husband cuts them back and they always come back more beautiful.. little babies grow from them close to the ground and be replanted and develop into a full size tree.

The Crepe Myrtle trees bloom in June and are magnificent with their giant flowering blossoms. They will bloom for a few months, as you can see the branches get so heavy with it's blossoms that they will droop a little.. Crepe Myrtle trees come in different colors : white, purple, dark pink and light pink.. I love the light pink ones..There is a saying that when the Crepe Myrtle trees bloom, the watermelon is ripe to eat and enjoy for the summer..

Visit Kelli and join in the fun of sharing with others.. click on pictures to enlarge and almost touch and smell the blossoms....

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how career-minded are you?

I am not career-minded anymore, since I retired four and a-half years ago..I miss my co-workers and babies, but not the stress and time away from family...My # would be a 2.

Salad

What type of window coverings do you have in your home? Blinds, curtains, shutters, etc.?

I live on the marsh and love the views from my windows.. I leave the windows open to the light and view with no coverings in my living room.. In the bedrooms I have tri-fold fabric blinds with a window treatment at the top in the bedrooms and dining room .

Main Course

Name something that instantly cheers you up.

Hearing my grandkid's voices and seeing their sweet faces..

How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning?

I never touch the snooze button on our clock radio.. my husband has the alarm set to go off every morning at 6:30am with country music waking me up.... I turn over and go back to sleep..He is retired and only works two days a week, but his routine is set in stone..
